We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the infallible and inspired Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for man’s salvation, and the final authority for faith and life.
We believe there is one true God, the Creator of all things, who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ was fully God and fully man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and was exalted to the right hand of God. He will personally return to earth in power and glory.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but incurred physical and spiritual death through disobedience to Him. Consequently, mankind is lost and alienated from God because of sin. Reconciliation with God and restoration of eternal life is only through the faith in the redeeming work of Christ on the cross and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the vital work of the Holy Spirit in the Christian’s life. He regenerates and indwells the life of the believer. He guides the believer, empowers the believer for a life of obedience, and imparts spiritual gifts so that the church may progress toward experiencing the fullness of Christ. Christians should continually seek a deeper experience of the Spirit’s work and power in their lives.
Jesus Christ will personally return to earth in power and glory to judge all people. The righteous (made righteous through faith in Christ) will be eternally united with God in blessing and eternal life; the unrighteous will be eternally separated from God in punishment and eternal death.
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, the dwelling place of God through His Spirit, to which all true believers in Jesus Christ belong. As such, the Church is the manifestation of Christ in the world to proclaim by word and deed the gospel of His salvation. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers and deeply grieve over the division and disharmony in the Body of Christ. We seek to cooperate with all believers, regardless of denomination, to further the purposes of God in the earth.
