Statement of Faith

  • Bible:  We believe the Bible is the only infallible and inspired Word of God, the final authority and standard for faith and practice.
  • God:  We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus Christ:  We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death for the forgiveness of sins, in His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to reign in power and glory.
  • Salvation:  We believe that mankind is lost and alienated from God because of sin.  Through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit, man is restored to favor and fellowship with God.
  • Holy Spirit:  We believe in the guidance and empowering of the Holy Spirit in the Christian's life, and that Christians should continually seek a deeper experience of the Spirit's work and power in their lives.
  • Eternity:  We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost to stand before God in judgment:  they that are saved to be eternally united with God in blessing and eternal life, and they that are lost to be eternally separated from God in punishment and eternal death.
  • Church:  We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and deeply grieve over the division and disharmony in the Body of Christ.  We seek to cooperate with all believers, regardless of denomination, to further the purposes of God in the earth.  With regard to doctrine: In essentials, we seek unity; in non-essentials, we encourage liberty; in all things, we promote charity (love).
