MCC Coronavirus Statement

Hello MCC friends and Family,

In the midst of all the ongoing concerns about the Coronavirus, COVID-19, we want to let you know that MCC is closely monitoring the latest reports in our area. MCC has also started taking precautionary steps, in line with the recommendations from the CDC and WHO, to ensure the health and safety of you and your family. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and evaluate additional measures to ensure the safest environment for all of our members.

We want to make you aware of the steps we are taking and how you can help us maintain a healthy and safe environment at MCC.

What we are doing:

  • When you arrive on Sunday our ushers and greeters will open the doors for you

  • We’ve placed hand sanitizers throughout our building

  • We have asked our greeter to only give to “Air-Fives” or “Air kisses”

  • We have asked our cleaning crew to increase their sanitation procedure during their cleanings

  • On top of our regular cleaning schedule, our staff will also be cleaning areas of high traffic after use

  • We have asked our small groups and other ministries that use our facilities to clean and sanitize the areas they use during the week

How you can help (Adapted from

  • Please refrain from handshakes and hugs at church and instead stick to our “Air-fives” or “Air-kisses” policy

  • If you or a member of your family is feeling sick, we ask that you stay home

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue. Then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands

  • Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds with water and soap

  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth

We realize this whole situation can cause a lot of anxiety and fear. In these times it is important to remember what Paul writes in Philippians 4:6-7:

“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Let us cultivate attitudes of prayer, thanksgiving, and peace so the world can see what a great God we serve.  Please join us in prayer for those who are affected by this virus, their caregivers, and all those working to minimalize the impact of the virus.

Thank you,
MCC Leadership
