What is Operation Christmas Child?

Children around the world are affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine and disease. With the help of thousands of volunteers and shoebox donations, OCC provides children and teens around the world and those living on Native American reservations with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene and school supplies, and the Good News of Jesus Christ. They partner with local volunteers, teachers and pastors in these areas to deliver the shoeboxes to children in their own communities through community events and discipleship programs.

MCC Is an OCC Drop-Off Location this Year!

The pandemic will not stop us from bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth! It only challenges us to do more! We are praying to collect Shoeboxes for 3,500 children, and we need your help to make it work!

Two ways to get involved:

   1. Pack a shoebox

Fill one, or set a goal to fill more by inviting family, friends and colleagues to fill some too. Contact Elaine for Shoe Boxes, or pick yours up at the OCC Display Table in the sanctuary.  Register your boxes online to track them and see where and when children received them!

   2. Volunteer to help with collection

This year we have a safe collection process: touchless for people dropping off, and socially distant for volunteers. PPE will be supplied. We’ll work together to collect, count, and process shoeboxes as they arrive.
